There are five items that may need your attention at this time:
1) Team Name and Stadium Changes New owners who have played at least one full season in the KRFL (and all veteran owners) are eligible to change their team name, stadium, avatar, and/or team colors in the thread provided in the Cut Down forum. 2) New Owners can cut Unwanted Veteran Contracts without Penalty New Owners have one chance to void unwanted Veteran Contracts without penalty if they have not previously made a trade since taking ownership. (See Rule 16.12 in the Constitution.) Announce these cuts in the appropriate thread in the Cut Down forum. 3) Preliminary Cut Down * In order to participate in off-season trading during the Rookie Draft, a team must be under the $83 million salary cap. (14.1) Announce these cuts in the appropriate thread in the Cut Down forum. 4) CONFIRM YOUR PRE-SEASON SPREADSHEET Download the latest Salary Spreadsheet under League Files on the website. All owners are responsible for reviewing the spreadsheet for their team. If everything looks good, there is no need to do anything. Any error(s) should be brought to the immediate attention of the Financial Officer (Mark, Alabama Hawks) and the Commish.
The DEADLINE for all four items is midnight, Monday, April 29th.
* As of the 04/06/2013 spreadsheet, these nine teams are over the pre-season salary cap:
TEAM/ OVERAGE BEN - $8.3m BRX - $10.8m CLE - $6.4m INV - $2.5m PST - $3.4m SAL - $2.95m SEA - $19.4m SWF - $11.8m TUR - $16m
Notifications about the League Schedule All announcements will be made as: 1) as news posted on the KRFL home page, 2) email sent out automatically, and 3) usually as a listing on the League Calendar. Please bookmark the League Calendar and consult it if you're unsure about a deadline.
Help Wanted The League needs four volunteers.
1) We need a Trade Committee member to evaluate trades for fairness.
2 and 3) We need two members to update the Free Agent Draft List. Last year I posted lists on the forums of available Free Agents to help people who were at work when their pick was due. Both Jerry and I tried to keep it up to date but with all the other jobs we were doing at the time, we weren't always accurate. This year, I'd like to get two volunteers, one offense, one defense, to update the lists. This task takes about five minutes once per weekday during the Free Agent Draft. If we don't get any volunteers, I'm not sure we'll offer this service this season.
4) We need someone to update the KRFL All-Time Records Spreadsheet. The task should take less than one hour to complete.
