This does not appear to be an issue in the 2024 version of the game. DKS has apparently restored the Durability rating to the way they did them before 2023. Upon review of the preliminary 2024 ratings, players with 5 games played or less have Durability ratings of 3 or less, and players with 6 games or more have Durability ratings of 4 or higher. So, unless the preliminary Durability ratings changes when the 2024 file is officially released, the temporary rule adopted for the 2023 roster cut-down/contract period will not be necessary this season.
