Proposed change: PLAY CLOCK: The Play clock will be turned on in the League Rules and set to 45 seconds. However, by agreement from BOTH teams, the play clock may be turned off at any time. Likewise, the Play clock may be resumed/turned on at any time by EITHER team requesting it, and cannot be turned off until both teams agree to the suspension of the clock.
Justification: The NFL uses a play clock and it would speed up game play.
a connection issue should not affect it; if you need a break, click on 'stop play clock' and let your opponent know the problem....
the clock should rarely come into play; it is needed because there are some who feel the necessity to change every single setting and matchup for every play and turn games into unnecessary 2 hour marathons....
What if my daughter needs help for a couple of minutes? Or there is connection issues?
In my proposal I wrote "by agreement from BOTH teams, the play clock may be turned off at any time." No reason someone would not agree that is a legitimate reason to turn it off.

I don't have a strong feeling on this - especially since we can turn the clocks off. Just two other random thoughts.
1) It is going to be alittle weird when one person asks for the clocks off and the other says no.
2) I think this is reverse psychology here. I play pretty quick. If my opponent wants the clock on - now you have given me permission to use up to 45 seconds to make a decision. I actually think this rule will unintentionally slow people down, not speed them up.
