I will write it up as an amendment proposal if people thinks it is a good idea.
Instead of one team getting an extra pick for subbing - via the lottery, what if every team who subs at least one game gets an extra pick? It would be in the '8th round'.
The order would be: 1) most times subbing 2) current draft order (already based on record)
Let's reward everyone for taking the time to sub for fellow owners.
If we did that I feel we would also need to change the process for how substitute coaches are determined so subbing opportunities can be spread around. Otherwise people will continue to pick their closer friends, members they want to play against, or members in their time zone since it is most convenient to act as subs. And a 8th round pick is probably not enough motivation to get members who do not sub now to do so in the future.
