Rule 3.0 states: The assignment of teams to a conference or division will, when possible, be based upon the geographic location of the owners to make scheduling games easier by grouping teams according to time zone. Realignment, if necessary, will take place every three years at the discretion of the League Office.
Our current divisions are (team/owner's location):
NFC Brown ATL/Turin, Italy BAR/Barcelona, Spain BRX/Turin, Italy BAY/Pennsylvania
AFC Madden SAL/California SEA/Washington state WSS/Washington state DES/Iowa
AFC Halas RGG/Tennessee VAN/Alberta INV/Virginia EDI/Ohio
AFC Shula NYH/New York ALA/Maryland TAM/Wisconsin CLE/Ohio
The only division I see where teams are not in the same time zone or time zones next to each other is the NFC Brown - However I believe BAY prefers early morning games, so being in that division is not an issue. So I would not propose any realignment of teams. However, if you would like to move your team because of scheduling considerations or rivalries with teams in other divisions, send me an email and your request will be considered. Obviously another team would need to want/agree to move to accommodate your request.
