Current Rule:
7.1 – In-Season trading is allowed between the opening of the season and the reporting deadline for KRFL week #4 games.

Proposed Rule:
Change it back to Week #8, which it was prior to changing it to week #4 last season. Also, the NFL is week 8.

Explanation:
For the most part I think the change last year was to try to discourage "dump trades" by the teams with poor records. However, I think lowering the In-Season Salary Cap from $93 mil to $88 mil last season accomplished that. Also, if my change to the play-offs is approved, two more teams will a chance to make the playoffs and so teams may be less inclined to make "dump trades".

I would support this going to vote. Change to at least week 6, if not Week 8

The goal was to eliminate the mid-season trade frenzy that is common to MLB and the NHL, but foreign to the NFL, where the have nots cheaply sell out for the future to the haves. The rule has only been in place one season so I'm disinclined to revisiting it before it has a full and fair trial. I say postpone the discussion for another year or two. I'm not yet convinced that the reduction in salary cap by itself is enough to accomplish the job.

Can't support. I liked the way things worked last year.

Does not seem like there is enough support for putting this to a vote. It will be dropped from consideration.
