Current Rule Rule Book Section: 14.14 There is a $10M maximum salary cap penalty for any player cut with a salary over $10M, regardless of remaining years on their contract.
Proposal: Eliminate this rule.
Explanation: Since we eliminate the the $10million cap on a player's salary last season, I think we should also eliminate the maximum salary cap penalty of $10mil per player.
I think this is a logical extension of the rule passed last year and I'm not sure it even needs a vote. I think this is a no-brainer decision that can be enacted by the commish.
