Week 16 Games Due 10pm Eastern January 3rd
by: MarkB - Tuesday 27 December 2016 - 21:07:03
The week #16 league file has been posted on the website in the League Files section.
Results are due Tuesday 1/3/2017 @10pm Eastern. Please remember to e-mail the games results and box score to BOTH me and the KRFL Yahoo Group.

Going into the final week of the season, here is the playoff picture:

In the NFC (* = Clinched a playoff spot, ** = Clinched the playoff seed):
Division Leaders
1. Atlanta (14-1)**
2. Penn State (11-4)**
3. Lombardi Division Winner** (See Below)
Wild Cards
4. Bronx (12-3)**
5. Bay City (8-7)

NFC Lombardi Division Winner Scenarios:
If Kentucky beats Brick and SW Florida beats London, then Kentucky wins the division.

If Kentucky beats Brick and London beats SW Florida...... Kentucky and London would be 8-8 and go to tiebreakers....
1) London and Kentucky are 1-1 head to head.
2) London and Kentucky would both be 4-2 in their division.
3) London and Kentucky would both be 6-6 in common games.
4) London and Kentucky would both be 7-5 in conference games.
5) So then it comes down to strength of victory. Right now, Kentucky has the edge at .371 vs. .362 for London. Brick has a slightly higher Power Ranking than SW Florida, so presumable a Kentucky victory over Brick would be worth more than a London victory over SW Florida, but we won’t know for sure until all the games are finished.

Final NFC Wild Card Scenarios:
If Bay City beats Atlanta, they are the second Wild Card.
If Bay City losses and both Kentucky and London win, and Kentucky wins the Lombardi Division, then Bay City is the Wild Card as a result of beating London head to head.
If Bay City losses and both Kentucky and London win, and London wins the Lombardi Division, then Kentucky is the Wild Card as a result of beating Bay City head to head.

In the AFC (* = Clinched a playoff spot, ** = Clinched the playoff seed):
Division Leaders
1. Alabama (15-0)**
2. Salem (11-4)**
3. Las Vegas (10-5)**
Wild Cards
4. New York (12-3)**
5. Halas Division Non-Winner** (See Below)

Halas Division Scenarios
Las Vegas wins the division regardless of what happens in their week 16 game @ Inverness.

If Las Vegas beats Inverness, the winner of the Rolling Green – Vancouver game is a Wild Card team.

If Las Vegas loses, and Rolling Green beats Vancouver:
Las Vegas is the division winner and Rolling Green a Wild Card team as LV beat RGG twice head to head.
Vancouver does not make the playoffs.

If Las Vegas loses, and Vancouver beats Rolling Green:
Las Vegas and Vancouver split head to head. Both would be 4-2 in divisional games. Las Vegas would be 8-4 in common games and Vancouver would be 7-5.
So Las Vegas would win the division and Vancouver would be the Wild Card. Rolling Green does not make the playoffs.

The BIG games this week......:
Brick (6-9) @ Kentucky (7-8)
London (7-8) @ SW Florida (5-10)
Bay City (8-7) @ Atlanta (14-1)
Vancouver (9-6) @ Rolling Green (9-6)

Good luck to all!

Any questions let me know. Play hard and have fun!
