The Jason Richmond Paintings During the cold war, it was confirmed by deep-cover spies in Moscow that the Enemy was attempting to use the predictive tools of astrology and psychic precognition to gain a battle-field advantage. As a counter, the CIA created its own secret program employing people who demonstrated their own extra-sensory abilities. One warrior in the fight against godless communism was a high school English instructor, Jason Richmond, who had the ability to remotely view goings on from within the Soviet realm and imprint them on to photographic film using only his mind. The basic procedure involved agents asking specific questions to Mr. Richmond who would then hold a camera to his temple and, after a period of focused concentration, depress the shutter button. The resulting images were then processed for study by surveillance analysts. These paintings are based upon some of the more than one hundred little-known “mind” photos produced by Jason Richmond before the project was abandoned due to the ambiguous intelligence value of the product.
